Mission Statement

for Chapters of Benedictine Oblates of Saint Meinrad Archabbey

We, Benedictine Oblates of Saint Meinrad Archabbey, are Christians united by the holy Rule of St. Benedict.

We come together in Chapters to support one another and strengthen our spiritual life through prayer, liturgical celebration, instruction, and fellowship in Christ so “that in all things God may be glorified”.   (RB 57.9)

The Cincinnati Chapter of Benedictine Oblates of Saint Meinrad Archabbey are Christian men and women with a spiritual bond to the monks of Saint Meinrad. Their affiliation and partnership spread the outreach of Benedictine spirituality into the secular world and provide a strong foundation for individual spiritual growth.     See St. Meinrad Oblate link for additional information - http://www.saintmeinrad.edu/monastery_oblates.aspx

The Cincinnati Oblate Chapter meets the fourth Sunday September through May.

There is no meeting in December and the May meeting is a day of recollection held in collaboration with the Columbus, Lancaster, and Dayton Chapters.

Our meetings are held at St. Gertrude Parish Center located at 6551 Miami Avenue in Madeira Ohio at 2 p.m.     (see directions link)

The meeting agenda consists of
Readings

Lectio Divina

Program that alternates with a video and a speaker from St. Meinrad Archabbey
